FAQ

Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept insurance plans. We will submit a claim on your behalf and after all adjustments have been made the balance remains as patient responsibility. As each patient’s insurance policy is different, please contact the clinic to speak with the billing department for further information. If you do not have insurance coverage, we have affordable self-pay options as well.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit will last approximately 1 hour. We will go over all previous medical history and go through a complete orthopedic and movement assessment. Most often, you will also receive treatment on that first visit. Please arrive 15 minutes early for the initial visit in order to fill out paperwork. Also, please bring your insurance card, identification, and all medical records (including x-ray/MRI). Please wear loose comfortable clothing similar to what you would wear to exercise.
How are you different from most chiropractors?
The comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment program will optimize the patient’s ability to increase their daily function of life while resolving their condition as quickly as possible.
What should I wear to my appointments?
You should wear or bring comfortable clothing to your appointment. Shorts, T-shirts, or tank tops are examples of preferred clothing.
Do chiropractors work with medical doctors or other specialists?
Yes, our doctors work with many health specialists in order to provide the best possible care for each patient. We pride ourselves on receiving various referrals from MDs and will refer the patient back once treatment is completed.
Why should I go to you instead of my medical doctor for my joint or muscle pain?
While medical doctors help with many problems/diagnosis, most do not have much training in the conservative treatment of joint or muscle pain. Our doctors will assess and classify your reason for pain and symptoms delivering the appropriate treatment or refer you to the appropriate provider.
I don’t like being adjusted, do I have to be?
Booth Chiropractic Health and Rehabilitation does not subscribe to the ‘one size fits all mentality’. The chiropractic adjustment or manipulation could be part of a treatment plan, but does not have to be. After a full assessment and dialogue, the doctor AND patient will decide together what the best treatment plan would be going forward.
It seems like you only treat athletes, is that true?
Absolutely not! However, we do believe that every individual is an athlete in his or her own right. Maybe your goal is simply to lift your child without pain. This is your ‘athletic event’ and we need to treat it as such!
My child got hurt playing sports. Can you help us?
Yes, absolutely. In fact, one of our specialties is treating youth sports injuries. Oftentimes, chiropractic treatment is beneficial for children/infants as well as adults. Children usually require fewer treatments.
Do you treat anything other than back pain?
Yes, absolutely! In fact, about half of the injuries we see are non-spine related complaints. They include but are not limited to hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow, and wrist. If you are not sure if we can help, please call and we can have a conversation today!
How much education is required to become a doctor of chiropractic?
Four years of chiropractic college is required after completing specific undergraduate requirements. The chiropractic college classes are very similar to medical school, however, the chiropractic student will spend more time on anatomy, nutrition and chiropractic technique whereas the medical student will spend more time on pathology and pharmacology.
Is it safe for me to get treated if I am pregnant?
Absolutely. In fact, due to various changes in the body during pregnancy, many pregnant women develop low back pain. If this applies to you, our doctors will develop a treatment plan to effectively and safely treat your pain.
